Join Us As We Sweep Off The Blue Carpet For
Blue Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit
Our oceans are filled with items that do not belong there. Huge amounts of consumer plastics, metals, rubber, paper, textiles, derelict fishing gear, vessels, and other lost or discarded items enter the marine environment every day, making marine debris one of the most widespread pollution problems facing the world's oceans and waterways. ~ NOAA Marine Debris Program
Join Blue Ocean Film Festival & Conservation Summit in showing your care and concern for our local waterways by joining the Grand Community Cleanup as we collect coastal and terrestrial litter before it finds its way to our oceans.
Sign up with your existing civic, student, social or environmental group or create your own group of friends or family members.
Choose your site. Pick one of ours or come up with your own. Litter anywhere is a problem everywhere.
Group Captain attends a short orientation for information and supplies.
Meet on Saturday at your designated site and clean things up.
Post on Social Media as you clean and keep in touch with other groups, post pictures, and brag about your progress.
Call in when you're finished so that our volunteers can collect your bagged trash.
Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done and collect your Blue Ocean Film Pass as a thank you from Blue Ocean.
